Maximum temperatures today across the country include: 41.1 degrees Celsius in Tiberias, reaching the highest temperature of the summer for the first time; 42.2 degrees Celsius in Kfar Nahum near the northern Sea of Galilee; 42.5 degrees Celsius in Hatzav; 42.3 degrees Celsius in Golan Heights; and the highest temperature recorded today in the country, 43.6 degrees Celsius, in Sodom near the southern Dead Sea.
