Weather Forecast in Israel

A high-precision multi-language weather forecast ecosystem in Israel for residents, new olim, and tourists. We aggregate real-time metrics from weather stations, satellites, and hydrodynamic numerical models into a unified, clean interface.

Emergency Alerts & Weather News

Real-time monitoring of severe weather emergencies across Israel: storm warnings, flash floods in desert wadis, Sharav heatwaves, and hazardous beach currents. Stay informed in our News & Alerts section.

Israeli Cities, Parks, Beaches & Map

Our comprehensive location catalog provides detailed meteorological metrics for all cities across Israel, as well as specialized parameters for swimming beaches (waves, water temp, currents) and national parks (UV, heat stress), mapped on our interactive weather map.

Data Sources & Predictive Models

Our processing engine aggregates real-time metrics and executes high-resolution spatial interpolation (1-2 km grid) powered by premier atmospheric models:

IMS (השירות המטאורולוגי)ECMWF IFS (0.1°)GFS / NOAAICON-EU (DWD)Open-Meteo Engine
  • IMS: Ground stations, precipitation radars, and radiosondes
  • ECMWF IFS: European high-resolution IFS model (0.1° grid)
  • GFS & ICON: American (GFS) and German (ICON) global numerical models

Marine Safety & Beach Flags (IOLR)

Marine forecasts are anchored by buoy data & hydrodynamic ocean models from Israel Oceanographic Research (IOLR). Flag status is computed automatically using a 3-factor algorithm:

FlagWavesWindCurrent
🏳️ White≤ 0.5 м≤ 20 км/ч≤ 0.5 м/с
🚩 Red> 0.5 м> 20 км/ч> 0.5 м/с
🏴 Black> 1.2 м> 35 км/ч> 0.8 м/с

Israel Heat Stress (Discomfort Index)

The Heat Stress Index (עומס חום / Discomfort Index) was formulated in Israel by Prof. Ezra Sohar. It evaluates the body's sweat evaporation cooling capacity combining dry temperature & humidity:

  • < 22: No heat stress. Body cools down easily.
  • 22 – 24: Mild heat stress during exercise. Drink water.
  • 24 – 26: Moderate heat stress. Take frequent shade breaks.
  • 26 – 28: Heavy heat stress. Avoid outdoor workouts.
  • 28+: Extreme heat stress! Danger of heat stroke.

Air Quality & Sharav Dust Storms

Real-time tracking of atmospheric pollution & desert Sharav/Hamsin sandstorms adhering to WHO & European Environment Agency (EAQI) benchmarks:

  • PM2.5 & PM10: Fine particulate matter rising during Sharav sandstorms
  • AQI 0–50: Good & clean air
  • AQI 101–150: Unhealthy for sensitive groups during mild Sharav
  • AQI 151+: Hazardous dust storm, keep windows closed

Multi-Domain Ecosystem & Embed Widgets
